WordPress Update: 4.4.2 Security & Maintenance Release

Here at WP Carers, we keep on top of all the new developments at WordPress so we can notify our customers! Yesterday, WordPress announced the latest security and maintenance release, WordPress 4.4.2. It follows the release of WordPress version 4.4 “Clifford” late last year and version 4.4.1 last month.

This WordPress update corrects two security issues present in previous versions: a possible SSRF for certain local URIs and an open redirection attack. WordPress have urged all users to update their sites immediately to avoid any compromise.
